There are a some nice keeper fish being caught on the Upper Rogue River. With over 1000 Spring Chinook already making it up to the Cole River Hatchery and hundreds of them being re-run down to the Gold Hill Sports Park on Thursday, there are fish in the river. The increase river flow from less than 1000 CFS (Cubic feet per second) to over 1900 CFS in about a week has slowed the bite. If your willing to put some time and effort in the reward can be tasty! Only fin-clipped Salmon may be kept on the Rogue River all Wild fish should be released. |
